The International Federation for Research in Women's History / Fédération Internationale pour la Recherche en Histoire des Femmes (IFRWH/FIRHF) was founded in April 1987. The first meeting of national committee representatives was held in 1989 in Bellagio, Italy, with the assistance of the Rockefeller Foundation.

At the time this page was published, the officers of the IFRWH were: President, Professor Krassimira Daskalova (St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, Bulgaria); Vice-President, Professor Francisca de Haan (Central European University, Budapest); and Secretary-Treasurer, Professor June Purvis (University of Portsmouth).

The WHAI was affiliated to the federation. The original page offered copies of IFRWH newsletters from June 2008 and summer 2009 as downloads; these have not been preserved.
